Choosing a Coach

Finding a Good Coach

There are many types of coaches out in the world today. Some are good and some are not. Since coaching has become the hottest new job trend, unfortunately it has attracted those who think that merely going through a coaching course or program will give them what it takes to be a really good coach. It also has attracted people who just need a job and think becoming a coach sounds like a good idea.

They may call themselves Life Coach, Personal Coach, Professional Coach, Performance Coach, Success Coach, etc. Unfortunately, many have neither the life experience nor the intangible criteria that make for a good coach.

What Makes a Good Coach?

  Active listener   Integrity
  Authenticity   Intuition
  Confidentiality   Possibility Thinker
Extensive experience coaching/counseling   “Walking the talk”
Successful results commensurate with life experience
