Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

The Promises of Coaching

Some coaches claim to have all the answers. I do not. However, what I do know is that “two heads are better than one,” and sometimes life is more about “being in the question,” than having all of the answers.

In seeking a good coach, one encounters promise after promise:

  Balance   Joy
  Confidence   Love
  Happiness   Money
  Health   Productivity
  Jobs   Self-esteem

As a transformational coach, I do not make any of these promises. Why? Because coaching has more to do with YOU than with me. Everything starts (and ends with) YOU and your intentional commitment. It is your life, your business, your relationships.

Commitment

If you are not committed to your goals, perhaps they are not in alignment with what you really want. If you are not committed to your growth and development, no one can effectively coach you, since you are standing in your own way.

Some sobering news:

  • Happiness is a choice . . . moment to moment.
  • Joy is created from within. (No one can give it to you.)
  • Productivity arises from intentional commitment.
  • Rewarding relationships come from treating others the way you want to be treated, with integrity, trust and respect.

You Are Wired for Success!

I believe that you are already inherently “wired” with everything you need. So, if you already have everything (i.e. power, self-esteem, etc.) you need why hire a coach? — Life just keeps on “life-ing!” Along life’s path we seem to acquire a proverbial “little black bag” containing beliefs, thoughts and feelings that get in our way. Left unchecked, this stuff can become one big bag of garbage limiting our potential or discoloring our dreams!

Too many people today are living their lives from an unconscious, almost sleepwalking, state. Maybe this is where the expression “living in your own private Idaho” comes from! Why live your life unconsciously when you can live a life from intentionality and authenticity?! Life is too brief to play small!
